After a succesful Cowes week the team packed & stacked the boats ready for this years Multiclass regatta held at Rutland Sailing Club over the 14th & 15th August.
From the moment the team arrived at this fantastic venue the great british weather began to play its part with some big rain & blustery conditions creating a damp atmosphere for the days of rigging.
The Even Keel Project brought 5 Artemis 20's along to this regatta & sailors were selected by the RYA to crew the boats.
During changeable conditions throughout day 1 the team sailing GBR 010, Lucy Hodges & James Merricks came out on top with 3 desisive wins. Second in GBR 009 were the pairing of Tom Morton & Peter MOore with Chris Atkin & Bruce Douglas in 3rd.
Day 2 presented similar blustery conditions with big gusts & the results followed the previous day with Hodges & Merricks taking the Honours once again.
We were also very pleased to see the Lambert family from Even Keel HQ make the drive from IOW to come up and experience the event & were able to give Natasha the chance to add Rutland Water to the list of places she has sailed, where next..?
Throughout the weekend the team had the chance to meet some fantastic people & recieved great feedback on the boats & project, we would like to thank all the helpers for their assistance during the weekend & everyone at Rutland Sailing Club for all there hard work & we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
